Pros and Cons of Health Care
Pros
1. The number of uninsured U.S. residents has grown to over 45 million
2.We can develop a centralized national database which makes diagnosis and treatment easier for doctors.
Cons
- There isn't a single government agency or division that runs efficiently; do we really want an organization that developed the U.S. Tax Code handling something as complex as health care?
- "Free" health care isn't really free since we must pay for it with taxes; expenses for health care would have to be paid for with higher taxes or spending cuts in other areas.
- Healthy people who take care of themselves will have to pay for the burden of those who smoke, or obese people.
- Patients may be subjected to extremely long waits for treatment.

The Cold War was an ideological struggle between the Free Market Economy, democratic, capitalist west (led by USA) and the command economy, totalitarian, communist Eastern Bloc (led by the USSR) to decide which would become the dominant global economic and social system. There was no fighting in this "war" just threats.

Political Cartoon
I think its basically saying that the Republican party platform for the mid-term elections is a cobbled together mixture of anger, accusations of Obama being a socialist and hatred against Muslims. The house of cards metaphor would indicate that its not a very robust platform and the "tea party" on the back of the cards indicates they are instigating most of it.
